We visit ROOTS (Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture), the gym run by “Shooto’s Charisma” Sato Rumina, and talk to the legend about his experiences as an MMA fighter. Currently a brown belt, Rumina was a professional MMA fighter from 1994 to 2012. Although Sato-san has appeared in many interviews up until now, this time we spoke to him not only about his career as an MMA fighter, but also about his perspective as a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and gym owner, as well as his outlook on the future.
